David Rapp
CEO
David Rapp is an accomplished executive in the global oil and energy trading sector, with decades of experience and a proven track record in physical oil brokerage, mergers and acquisitions. He is the Founder and CEO of Prime Energy Markets, where he oversees global trading operations and drives strategic growth for the firm.
Widely recognized as one of the top brokers in the industry, David brings deep expertise in global oil markets and interdealer brokerage. He founded Primex, a brokerage firm he developed into a key player in oil trading. In 2008, Primex was acquired by Tullett Prebon PLC, where David was appointed Global Head of Oil, overseeing physical oil trading and mergers and acquisitions activities.
Ahria Roushanbakhti
Head of Trading
As Head of Trading at Prime Energy Markets, he is responsible for leading the trading team, developing junior talent, and developing innovative trading strategies that drive the firm’s profitability.
With a strong academic background, Ahria earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford. Before joining Prime Energy Markets, he held senior trading roles at Onyx Commodities, where he was responsible for trading a diverse range of energy commodities, including LNG, natural gas liquids, fuel oil, gasoline, and naphtha. His ability to navigate complex market structures and capitalise on trading opportunities has made him a key figure in the energy industry.
At Prime Energy Markets, Ahria continues to drive the company’s growth by expanding its market reach and fostering a high-performance trading culture. His leadership ensures that the firm remains at the forefront of the global energy trading landscape, consistently delivering value to clients and stakeholders.
